Navigator Records is delighted to announce the release of ‘Tadoussac’, the brand new single from acclaimed singer-songwriter Ellie Gowers, arriving on 30 October 2026.
Marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Warwickshire-born artist, ‘Tadoussac’ is the first preview of a forthcoming album due in Spring 2027. The new record sees Gowers working alongside renowned producer Steve Osborne, whose extensive credits include KT Tunstall, U2, Elbow, Doves and Placebo.
Named after a small village on the north shore of Canada’s mighty St Lawrence River, ‘Tadoussac’ is less a travelogue and more a meditation on memory, longing and connection. Romantic nostalgia runs through the song, offering listeners a glimpse of Gowers’ evolving sound while retaining the thoughtful, emotionally resonant songwriting that has become her trademark.
Over the past few years, Ellie Gowers has steadily established herself as one of the UK’s most compelling emerging songwriters. Her debut album Dwelling by the Weir earned praise for its rich storytelling and folk roots, while 2025’s You, the Passenger EP showcased an increasingly expansive sound and attracted national radio support from BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music.
The forthcoming album was developed throughout 2026 with a close-knit cast of collaborators, including Tim Bradshaw, Samuel Fox and Simon Small, recording in studios, living rooms and kitchens to capture authentic performances and intimate moments. ‘Tadoussac’ is the first of three singles that will introduce audiences to the project ahead of the album’s release next spring.
To coincide with the new music, Ellie will embark on a UK tour this November, with dates including London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Sheffield, Cambridge, Portsmouth and Exeter.
