Bellowhead have teamed up with Harveys Brewery to create Revival Ale. The new golden ale, brewed using Sussex hops, celebrates the band’s 10th year anniversary and new album, also called Revival, and is set to be ready for the beginning of November when the band kick of their national tour.
Here’s what the band had to say about the new ale:
Back in 2010, we were arguably the first group to brew our own Ale (Hedonism) with the Potbelly microbrewery. But since then we have seen many other acts release their own beers, so we have decided to raise the stakes!
Next week (Oct 14th) we’re heading down to Lewes to the prestigious Sussex independent brewers Harveys to produce a special, new real ale – Revival Ale.
Harveys is renowned – their flagship ‘Sussex Best’ was recently voted Champion Best Bitter of Britain for two consecutive years, whilst their ‘Prince of Denmark’ was voted the world’s best beer at the International Beer Challenge in 2012. And Head Brewer, Miles Jenner, was voted Brewer of the Year in 2009.
But one of the most exciting things is that Revival also marks a milestone in Harveys 200 year history. Previously, their draught beers have been restricted to distribution within an 80-mile radius of the brewery, but Revival will be the first draught Harveys beer that will be on extended distribution throughout the country!
And we’re also planning on get Revival Ale into pubs close to the venues on our November tour where we can go for after-show music sessions, so if you have any suggestions for suitable boozers please let us know those too.
You can send Bellowhead your suggestions via Facebook and Twitter and find their upcoming November tour dates below.
