Formed in 2009, ahab quickly established themselves as London’s most exciting alt-country group. Legendary producer John Leckie attended one of their early shows and offered to return to Snap Studios to record ‘Lucy’, a download only single. In February 2011, to promote ‘Lucy’, they played their first full national tour comprising of more than 20 shows with most of the dates selling out in advance.
In April 2011 ahab recorded another 5 songs at Real World Studios, once again with John Leckie at the helm. Collectively entitled ‘kmvt’, the EP was released by Navigator in September 2011.
‘Wits End’, originally assembled for their debut tour of Australia in 2012, contains a remastered version of their 2010 EP, ‘No King’, 2011’s John Leckie-produced ‘KMVT’ EP plus digital only bonus track ‘Lucy’.
ahab have been touring extensively worldwide since the release of ‘KMVT’ and in 2012 released their 14 track live album – ‘Live in London’. They will be on the road once again in May 2013 and beyond to support the release of the new album.
